Vacation Time!

Asalaam’ Alaikum:

I have truly enjoyed sharing with you the many posts I have made over the summer. I hope you have enjoyed them too. I have tried to share as much advice and ideas with you about how to improve your homeschooling experience. While I am not an expert, I am learning and benefiting from these ideas – so I thought I’d share them. I don’t want anyone to think that I am giving advice because I am an “expert” – I also must take my own advice. It is a constant struggle to homeschool and to homeschool well. I have found after many of these posts – I have also tried my best to live up to what I have written – it is a good reminder to me too, alhumdulilah.

School is going to start in a few weeks (we just received our shipment of school supplies on Monday) – the kids are ecstatic! Anyway, I am preparing to take it easy easier. (It may not be proper English, but I really mean it!) I’m ready to get back into school mode, insha’Allah. So, while I do intend to still blog while homeschooling – there is no way I am going to be able to post as much as I have this summer. However, I believe I did achieve what I set out to do – I wanted to share some tips and tricks that I have used in the past few years in the hopes that it will benefit some of you, insha’Allah.

Masha’Allah – I’ve had a lot to blog about. I think I was suffering from severe withdrawal from my blog 🙂 this past year. Last year I hardly got a chance to blog (or write, for that matter) at all and I really missed it. So, I decided to blog during the summer to treat myself for all my hard work this past school year. I have really enjoyed sharing with you and I hope you have benefited – but I also feel rather elated to be writing this post – to give myself a chance to move back into homeschooling mode.

Insha’Allah you will hear from me again – but I just wanted you to know that I am taking my own advice – and I am trying to start easing out of those things that have the potential to take too much of my time. I want and intend to share with you any advice, ideas we come across during this homeschool journey – but please do forgive me if it isn’t every week. I probably couldn’t handle that. I’m thinking every two weeks or more, insha’Allah – but Allah knows best what we will be able to do or not do. I am sure, however, that we’ll have a lot to share at some point – and I will keep you in mind, insha’Allah!

If you haven’t already, you might want to set yourself up for notification when new blog posts are added. I will also probably send out notices on the homeschooling groups, since that’s where most people find me. Let’s keep in touch!

May you have a wonderful homeschooling experience this year.
I hope, insha’Allah, that it will be beneficial for you and your children.
May you find within yourself the strength to continue on this journey and
may you come up with your own advice and ideas on how to improve your experience.
Perhaps some day you will decide to share your ideas too! I’m looking forward to it!

By the way, if you liked the news clipping I used as the picture for my post – you can make your own! I use these sometimes to make the kiddos laugh – and other times to show that I noticed when they did something wonderful, masha’Allah. To make your own, go to Fodey.com

As a new reader I give my kudos and hope to use some of what I find here when I start homeschooling again, insha’Allah.
